	What is Footstool? Footstool is used for providing comfort to tired feet for a person seated on a chair or a sofa. It is also used for giving ample additional support to legs which cannot reach the floor while seated. This usage is however totally optional & not compulsory. It is typically a short, wide, four-legged stool with a padded upholstered top which is made to be soft for relaxing the feet. It allows the seated person to rest his feet on the stool, supporting his legs at a stretched horizontal level, thus giving rise to use of the term footrest, for this furniture item. A footstool can also be used as a low height seating arrangement. Plain, simple wooden foot stools without upholstery are also available, which can only be used for resting your feet and not for sitting.
