Fabric Sample is not asked
When you go for upholstered fabric, it so happened that you buy the product with considering the color of the fabric because fabric looks different under different lighting conditions. The same color might look different in the showroom and in your room. Again the same color has different effects on day time and at night time. It is advisable to ask for a fabric swatch and take it home and compare colors.

The Furniture piece does not go through seat testing
This is one of the common mistake made by everyone. People do not seat on the furniture piece like a sofa or a futon or a chaise to feel its comfort and cushioning. Never buy such type of furniture without testing it out.

Cost
Another common mistake is that most often people go for cheap stuff. You should not have a furniture piece just for the sake of having it. The product should be durable as you cannot change it very often. Wait for the right time, invest and then shop.
